ODI Coronavirus Response and Employee Safety

We have been closely following each development associated with the Coronavirus outbreak as new information becomes available. During this time the #1 focus of our Leadership Team has been on the health and safety of all our employees in our offices and especially on job sites across the country.

Communication has been the cornerstone of our efforts as we remain in constant contact with our field supervisors and foremen to monitor conditions on each and every job site so we can tailor a location-specific response to keep our team members – and everyone on the site safe and healthy.

At this time, we wanted to share some of the measures we have implemented to comply with government guidelines on limiting the spread of and exposure to COVID-19. In many cases, these efforts represent close collaborations with our partners on the job sites, and for that, we are grateful.

COVID-19 Protocols for Job Sites

Central to our response at job sites has been ensuring that our Field Leaders and Safety Team is empowered to prioritize frequent and thorough checks of active job sites to ensure the safety of our teams. In addition, we have instituted the following measures on ALL job sites:

  1. Social Distancing protocols to be observed on job sites
  2. ALL field employees will wear masks while on the job site. This PPE as been secured and is currently being deployed
  3. Conduct daily check-ins between Field Leaders and Operations Leadership on all projects, regardless of whether they have been directly impacted by COVID-19
  4. Host bi-weekly “All Hands” Zoom meetings with field leaders and the Executive Team to share critical information and updates
  5. Hold daily Project Manager calls to share project updates and carry out go-forward planning

COVID-19 Protocols for Branch Offices

We maintain office locations across the country and have rolled out protocols for each to keep our employees safe.

  1. Implement Social Distancing in shared spaces and eliminate in-person meetings (meetings will be conducted via phone or Zoom)
  2. Daily cleaning of the entire office by our sanitation crew
  3. Limiting headcount in each office by enabling remote work
  4. Closing the office to non-essential visitors

The plans and procedures described above represent our response to information currently available and best practices as provided by the CDC and WHO.

Our Leadership Team continues to monitor the situation so that we can remain proactive about employee safety in the face of the Coronavirus crisis.
